7 WAYS TO RELAX

Calming your nerves is a way to relieve yourself of stress and be at rest in the midst of the troubles in this world. You can actually create inner peace and calmness for yourself in various ways. Try the following. 

1. Clear out all activities that can remind you of all troubling issues. Clear your phone of all texts messages that can remind you of past troubles. Out of sight is out of mind. 

2. Prepare a sumptuous meal you rarely eat. Something you prepare specially for yourself. I often do that. You garnish it well to make you momentarily forget your sorrows. Another option is to go out to a comfortable eatery you can afford that have the ambience you need to relax and forget your pains, eat and forget your sorrows. Forget alcohol during this period, it will only add to your sorrows. If you have a friend or two that will make you laugh, invite them over to join you. If you don't have, feast alone. Best you have good company for added benefit. 

3. Many don't know the power of instrumental music. Inherent in music is the power to clear your mind and calm your body. I have several instrumentals I simply play and doze off. Noisy music won't do the job, beautifully composed instrumentals touch the soul and can soothe frayed nerves. Combine them with a good meal and you have one of the best therapies ever. Try it tonight. Just go online and find the ones you want. 

4. Take a walk, not in a busy place but in a very nature like setting. Never underestimate the power of fresh air and nature. 

5. Want to relax and forget your sorrows and pains, avoid the news for that period. Bad news will worsen your pain, instead, watch a comedy or a funny entertainment without any harsh content. Bloodshed movies are the worst during this period. 

6. Visit blogs like this one that offer relief with opportunities to comment. Create a chat channel with the bloggers like me and let's laugh together. 

7. Lay your bed well after doing all these and sleep like a baby. 

When you do all these, the strange thing you will notice is that those worries will begin to look like they were never worries. The state of your mind is what determines what will disturb you and what will not. If you have a calm mind, you will see clearly and easily smile over issues. Fix your mind with the above steps and your worries will appear less worrisome. Go ahead and try these steps.
